Ageing produces a number of changes in the skin. Once loose skin has set in , facelift and necklift may only be the choice to correct the excess skin. But in those with mild laxity of skin, with drooping of cheek , jowls etc who do not want to go under the knife , thread lift may be the ideal option. Threadlift is a procedure in which multiple temporary sutures are inserted under the skin to produce a subtle but visible lift. These threads/ sutures lift the skin and anchor them to produce the desired results. They also help to stimulate collagen which helps in rejuvenating the skin.

Thread lift is usually done as an office procedure. Preoperatively the problem areas are marked and the threads are inseted through minimal incisions hidden well under the hairline. Patients are discharged after observation with antibiotics and pain killers.

Possible Side Effects
